Policies & your choices

Terms of Service

Version: 2026-10-12. Effective: 12 October 2026.

1. About TURNKNOB and these terms

TURNKNOB is the trading name of this studio discovery and booking platform at https://turnknob.in. It is not described here as an incorporated company. Contact support@turnknob.in for platform, policy and privacy questions. These terms apply to use of the platform. Studio operators must also accept the Studio Partner Terms. The Acceptable Use Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy form part of these terms. The Privacy Notice and Cookies & Analytics Notice explain data handling; acknowledging those notices is not blanket consent to marketing or tracking.

2. Eligibility and account authority

Accounts are for people aged 18 or over who can enter a contract under applicable law. Use accurate contact information, protect your credentials and notify support promptly if access may be compromised. Do not share an administrator account or impersonate another person or studio. A person accepting studio terms must be authorised to represent that studio. An account does not create employment, partnership, agency or exclusivity with TURNKNOB.

3. Closed-beta scope

TURNKNOB is onboarding studios through a controlled beta. Available listings, equipment details and booking functions may change. A request, displayed slot, listing, badge or estimate is not a guarantee of acceptance, availability, inspection, safety or commercial success. Confirm essential requirements with the studio before a session. We do not promise a minimum number of studios, bookings, leads, reviews, income or uninterrupted service. Optional external-calendar connections are not required to list a studio or use core booking features.

4. Studios and artists contract with each other

The studio supplies its premises, equipment and agreed session services. TURNKNOB facilitates discovery, requests and account tools; it does not own or operate the listed studios. Confirm the room, time zone, duration, equipment, engineer, deliverables, attendees, total price, taxes, deposit, overtime and cancellation conditions in writing. A booking request is not a confirmed reservation until the studio confirms it. Neither party may silently add a charge or materially substitute a service after confirmation. Statutory rights and mandatory studio/service-provider obligations remain applicable.

5. Prices, payments and taxes

Prices are shown in INR unless expressly identified otherwise. Studios must clearly disclose applicable taxes and additional charges before confirmation and are responsible for accurate billing and their own tax obligations. During the current beta, payment arrangements are manual/direct with the studio; an app status or a recorded payment is not proof that TURNKNOB collected, holds or transferred money. TURNKNOB does not provide an escrow service or insure deposits. Do not send payment-card details, banking credentials or OTPs through feedback or support. Any future platform fee, paid plan or payment-processing arrangement must be disclosed and agreed before it applies; these terms do not authorise undisclosed charges or automatic subscriptions.

6. Listings, uploads and intellectual property

You retain rights to your material. You must have permission to publish the photos, descriptions, logos and other material you upload. You grant TURNKNOB a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, resize and display that material to operate, secure and promote the relevant listing on the platform. This is not a transfer of copyright and does not authorise use of private recordings, unreleased music or a person's likeness in advertising without the necessary permission. Recording ownership, licences, credits and deliverables must be agreed separately between artist and studio. We may restrict or remove unlawful or misleading content and retain necessary evidence of a dispute.

7. Responsible use and safety

Follow the Acceptable Use Policy, studio rules and applicable law. Studios are responsible for lawful access to premises, permits, safe equipment, appropriate supervision and honest listings. Artists are responsible for their attendees, lawful use of material and care of the premises. Do not use the service for harassment, fraud, discrimination, unlawful content or unauthorised access. Do not attend an unsafe session; contact the studio and, in an emergency, the appropriate local authorities. TURNKNOB is not an emergency-response or insurance provider.

8. Privacy, confidentiality and integrations

Use booking/customer information only to provide the requested service, maintain lawful records and resolve the booking. Do not repurpose it for unsolicited marketing, sell it or upload it to unrelated services without a lawful basis. Limit access to authorised staff. External services have their own terms and privacy practices. Connecting a calendar requires a separate action and may share the data described in the connection flow. Removing a connection does not automatically delete information already received by an external provider.

9. Cancellations, complaints and remedies

Read the Cancellation & Refund Policy before confirming a session. Contact the studio first about its service and support@turnknob.in about platform issues, disputed information, copyright reports or unresolved booking problems. Include a booking/listing reference and relevant evidence, not passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. We can help route or investigate a complaint but cannot promise the outcome of an independent studio dispute or return money we do not hold. You retain access to courts, consumer forums and statutory remedies available under applicable law.

10. Suspension and account closure

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for safety, security, suspected fraud, unlawful conduct or a material breach. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond; urgent protective action may precede notice. You may stop using the platform or request account closure through support. Closure does not erase an existing booking, payment obligation or lawful record-retention requirement. Necessary records may be retained as described in the Privacy Notice. Suspension is not permission for either party to abandon a confirmed session without addressing the other party's rights.

11. Service limitations and liability

Use reasonable care and maintain your own backups of essential session and business records. To the extent permitted by Indian law, TURNKNOB is not responsible for a studio's independent services, equipment, conduct or promises, or for indirect losses such as speculative lost profits. We do not exclude liability for our fraud, wilful misconduct or any liability that law does not allow to be excluded, and nothing removes mandatory consumer or data-protection rights. A studio or artist remains responsible for harm caused by their own breach, unlawful conduct or negligence. These provisions do not give TURNKNOB a right to impose an arbitrary penalty or decide a dispute conclusively against you.

12. Updates and how they apply

We may revise policies by publishing a dated, versioned replacement. Minor corrections, clarifications and contact/link updates may take effect on publication without an individual message to every user; check the policy pages periodically. For material changes affecting studio obligations, fees, liability or data use, we will provide a prominent in-product notice or other appropriate notice, state the effective date and seek renewed studio acceptance where required. Urgent legal or security changes may take effect sooner where necessary. We will not silently rewrite your acceptance record or apply a new cancellation condition retrospectively to an already confirmed booking. A new purpose requiring personal-data consent needs a separate lawful choice; continued use is not a substitute for that consent.

13. Indian law and contact

Indian law governs these terms, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. Courts and statutory forums having jurisdiction under applicable law remain available; no foreign venue, compulsory private arbitration or waiver of statutory consumer remedies is imposed. If a clause is unenforceable, the remainder applies to the extent lawful. Questions and notices may be sent to support@turnknob.in.
